Correct Storage Method Of Additives

Leave a message

In many industrial and commercial fields, additives play a vital role. They can improve product performance, increase production efficiency, extend service life, etc. However, to ensure that additives are always in the best condition, the correct storage method is essential.

First, temperature is one of the key factors affecting the storage of additives. Different additives have different temperature requirements. Generally speaking, most additives should be stored in a cool and dry environment, avoiding direct sunlight and high temperature environment. High temperature may cause changes in the chemical properties of additives, reduce their effectiveness and even produce harmful substances. For example, some organic additives are easy to volatilize or decompose at high temperatures, so special attention should be paid to temperature control. Generally, it is more appropriate to store additives in a temperature range of 10℃ to 30℃.

Secondly, humidity is also a focus of attention. High humidity environment easily makes additives damp, causing mildew, agglomeration and other problems, affecting their quality and use effect. Relative humidity should be kept at a low level, generally below 60%. To prevent moisture, seal the storage container with a lid and ensure that the warehouse or storage area has good ventilation.

Furthermore, it is also crucial to avoid contact between additives and incompatible substances. Some additives may react chemically with other substances, causing deterioration or failure. Therefore, when storing additives, they should be stored separately from items that may react, and the name and properties of the additives should be marked on the storage container for identification and management.

In addition, regular inspection of stored additives is also essential. Check for leakage, deterioration, discoloration, etc. If there is any abnormality, timely measures should be taken to deal with it, such as replacing the storage container, transferring the additive, etc.

In short, the correct storage of additives is the key to ensuring their quality and performance. Only by following scientific storage methods can we ensure that additives can play the best effect when needed and provide strong support for the development of various industries.
